Las Vegas Airport is ranked 15th busiest airport in the world today. Last year saw over 44 million passengers pass through its terminal buildings. It has been operating since 1948 and has undergone heavy alterations throughout the years. Being in Las Vegas of course, there are over 1,300 slot machines located in all areas.

Cheap car hire at Las Vegas Airport USA (LVS) is found in a separate facility around three miles from the terminal. There are 40 courtesy buses that ferry passengers to and from the building, which houses 11 budget car rental giants.

There are two public passenger terminals, Terminal 1 has on its own 96 departure gates spread over four areas. The furthest two are reached by people conveyers for Arrivals and Departures. Terminal 2 caters for charter flights and has eight gates, four of which are for international travellers.

For an airport the size of this, the dining options are obviously quite large. Fast food outlets like Burger King and Subway are found in Terminal 1. Terminal 2 offers Pizza Hut and Hot Dog City. A selection of American style grill bars can be found in both terminals.
