Despite its name, Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is located 120kms west of Frankfurt am Main. Nevertheless, it is centrally located for travelling to many places in Germany. The airport is mainly used by Ryanair, which brings visitors from many destinations in 12 countries. Situated in the region of Rhineland-Palatinate, the airport lies between Hahn (Hunsrück) and Lautzenhausen in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Frankfurt-Hahn Airport has just one terminal with a full range of facilities including a bank with currency exchange and an ATM, many shops including duty free and restaurants, a hair salon and an optician.
