Just seven miles north of Dublin City is Dublin’s international airport. It has been operating since 1940 and has steadily been growing. Internet booths and ATMs are found all over the terminal building, as well as bureau de change for foreign currency.

Transport to and from the airport is limited to just taxis and buses, so car hire at Dublin Airport Ireland (DUB) is the best solution to exploring Ireland. A rail line linking the airport to Dublin City is due to commence work in 2010.
